Porter Cable 14.4 Volt and 19.2 Volt Cordless Tool Batteries are perfect for those looking to get the most out of their tools on a daily basis. What makes these batteries better than previous models is the slide on design. The classic clip on design has a protruding cylinder where some of the cells are located. The slide version eliminates the cylinder, putting all the cells on the same level, so they charge and discharge at the same time. This feature of the battery gives all the cells the same life and ultimately the battery a longer life. The slide also makes it easier to quickly remove the battery and throw in a new battery when you run out of juice.
